Our Case Managers
Janice Hamel has a Master’s degree in social work with over 16 years experience working in the field and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. She has an extensive background in individual and family counselling, working with complex social issues and a variety of mental health issues. In addition, she has experience working in palliative and end of life services and facilitating bereavement support groups. All this experience makes her a great resource not just for Clients but for their family members as well.
Helen Paddinge has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 27 years. With her 27 years of nursing experience as well as psychology background, she is very well versed on all aspects of senior care. She has also worked over 8 years doing case management for several government agencies and was an instrumental part of the Vancouver Coastal Health Education Council, which developed guidelines for Dementia and Palliative Care education for caregivers.
Whitney McMillan has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has over 20 years of diverse social work experience. She worked as a Case Manager for the North Shore Disability Resource Center, the Ministry of Children and Families and for Vancouver Coastal Health in both the Palliative and Long Term Care Units. In addition, she has worked with the Canadian Cancer Society for 5 years as the coordinator of their support programs where she handled the recruitment, training and supervision of over 100 volunteers.
